WE CAN HELP!
PURCHASING TICKETS
POLICIES & CONDITIONS OF SALE

All ticket sales are final. There are no refunds.

Purchases require a $2.00 fee per ticket.

Online purchasing is available up to one (1) hour before the event begins. If tickets are still available within one (1) hour prior to the start time, they will be sold onsite at our Information Desk. Prices are subject to change.

Discounts cannot be combined with other discounts (including package pricing) or retroactively applied to previously purchased tickets.

We require e-tickets for all admission. Will Call ticket pickup is not an option at this time. Please make sure you use a valid email when ordering and add customerservice@ovationtix.com to your address book to ensure e-tickets are delivered.

Children under 2 years of age do not require a ticket.

GROUP SALES

BlackRock offers the following group rates:

  • 15% off for groups of 10-19 people

  • 20% off for groups of 20 or greater

A non-refundable deposit of 50% is required at the time of reservation to hold seats. The remaining balance is due no later than two weeks prior to the performance, or the seats will be released for public sale. Exchanges are not available for group orders.

While we will do our best to seat your group together, seat locations are subject to availability. We encourage booking early to increase the possibility of being together.

Contact info@blackrockcenter.org about booking group tickets.

EXCHANGES

Ticket exchanges are available up to 48 hours prior to the event start time with the charge of a $6 processing fee (per ticket). We do not offer refunds.

  • Patrons must pay the difference of ticket exchanges from a less expensive performance to a more expensive performance. When an exchange would result in a credit to the patron, the credit is considered a donation to BlackRock.

  • There are no exchanges on group tickets.

  • Exchanges are subject to availability. Requests for exchanges cannot be honored if the original event date has already passed.

TICKET DONATIONS

If you are unable to use your tickets, they may be returned as a tax-deductible donation prior to the event. Donations can be made by email, phone, or in person at our Information Desk. Upon receipt of the donation, BlackRock will send a digital acknowledgment via email in the amount of the face value of your tickets, less ticket processing fees.

CANCELLATION

If BlackRock must cancel or reschedule a performance for any reason, Patron Services will make every effort to contact all ticket purchasers regarding the status of the performance. Please provide accurate contact information at purchase to ensure that we are able to reach you in case of a change to your order.

If a new event date is unable to be rescheduled, or if the patron is unable to attend the rescheduled date(s), ticket holders will be given the following options:

  • Donate the cost of tickets as a fully tax-deductible gift to BlackRock, and receive a digital acknowledgement for your records;

  • Return your ticket for an account credit that does not expire and can be used for other upcoming BlackRock performances or events; OR

  • Receive a full refund back to your original method of payment.

Refund requests will be honored for 30 days after the scheduled change has been announced. After 30 days, tickets can be donated or returned for account credit only.

In the event of a rescheduled performance, exchanges cannot be honored after the rescheduled date has passed.

Email info@blackrockcenter.org or call 301.528.2260 if you have any questions.

ACCESSIBILITY

BlackRock is prepared to assist you in acquiring seats that best meet your individual needs. All main entrances, box office, restrooms, concessions, and performance spaces are accessible.

Accessible seating:

  • MainStage Theater – There are up to 23 wheelchair-accessible spaces on the Orchestra Level in our MainStage. View the MainStage Seating Chart here.

  • BlackBox Theater – our BlackBox is located on the main level and all seating (aside from our high-top seating options, when applicable) is wheelchair accessible.

Please contact the Information Desk – info@blackrockcenter.org – so we can best assist you with your visit.

OUR SPACES AND SEATING OPTIONS

MainStage Theater – “There is not a bad seat in the house” is what we hear often from our patrons. This traditional theater space is a stunning environment to enjoy performances, film screenings, and live discussions! The MainStage seats approximately 210 guests comfortably and features a proscenium-style stage.

BlackBox Theater – Our classic BlackBox is entirely wheelchair accessible and offers a flexible layout that may change event-to-event, allowing for a warm, cabaret-style environment tailored for each performance. BlackBox events may incorporate a dance floor or tables and chairs, and are generally sold as general admission seating due to the flexible layout of the space.

Outdoor Stage – BlackRock does not provide traditional seating for its outdoor performances. Patrons are invited to bring their own chairs and blankets. Seating location is on a first come, first serve basis.

VIRTUAL PROGRAM

To reduce waste and provide a contactless experience for our staff and visitors, we provide a digital program for all 23-24 season performances. The program is accessed via QR codes displayed at the event, which can be scanned using your smart phone.

FOOD AND BEVERAGES

BlackRock concessions are typically available for purchase 30 minutes before performances start; including packaged snacks, non-alcoholic beverages (water, juices, and soda), and alcoholic beverages (wine and beer). Cash and credit cards are accepted forms of payment. We require ID for any purchases of alcohol.

  • Indoor Events – Outside food and beverages are not permitted for events inside our building.

  • For MainStage performances, all drinks must be in an approved BlackRock cup with a lid. Once purchased, a BlackRock cup may be brought to future events for discounted beverages.

  • Outdoor Events – Outside food is permitted for our Outdoor Stage events on our Great Lawn and we encourage you to enjoy our neighboring restaurants. Due to our license, outside beverages are not allowed; no alcohol purchased outside of BlackRock is permitted on the premises.

PARKING

Complimentary parking is available in BlackRock’s parking lot off Town Commons Drive (north side of building). If you choose to park on the street side or in the parking lots surrounding BlackRock, parking is at your discretion.

DAY-OF REMINDERS

ARRIVAL TIME.

  • Patrons are welcome to arrive 30 minutes before the start of the event to enjoy the BlackRock Bar & Concessions.

  • Doors into the theater space (to access your seat) typically open 30 minutes before the start of the event. This is at the discretion of the house manager and technical director.

CONCESSIONS.

  • Concessions are typically open 30 minutes before the start of a performance. This may vary by event – be sure to check your pre-show email for confirmation.

  • Please note that no outside food or beverage is permitted at BlackRock.

  • For MainStage performances, all drinks must be in an approved BlackRock cup with a lid. Once purchased, a BlackRock cup may be brought to future events for discounted beverages.

YOUR ETICKET.

  • Patrons should come to the event ready with their e-ticket on their mobile device or print their e-ticket (located in their ticket purchase confirmation email) at home.

  • Our ushers will scan the e-ticket at the entrance into the performing space.

  • We recommend all members of your group arrive and enter the event together, so that your e-ticket can be scanned for the whole group at once. If a member of your group is arriving later, they should be prepared with their e-ticket (on mobile device) or print their e-ticket ahead of time.
