The nominal fee charged for your ticket will be used to support BlackRock’s post Covid family programming, arts education, and performance opportunities for our local artists. We thank you for your support.

PURCHASING TICKETS 

Online purchasing is available up to two (2) hours before the event begins.

If tickets are still available within two (2) hours prior to the start time, they will be sold onsite at our Box Office.

FEE

Purchases require a $2 Convenience Fee (per ticket). Some fees may be waived, pending the event. 

CONDITIONS OF SALE

All ticket sales are considered final. 

REFUNDS

If a performance has been cancelled due to COVID, rescheduled, or cancelled, you may return your ticket for a credit or full refund back to the original method of payment.

  • Refund requests will be honored for 30 days after the scheduled change has been announced.

  • After 30 days, tickets can be returned for an account credit only.

EXCHANGES

Exchanges are available up to 48 hours prior to the event start time with the charge of a $6 inconvenience fee (per ticket).  

  • If you are exchanging from a less expensive performance to a more expensive performance, patrons must pay the difference.

  • There are no exchanges on group tickets of 6+.

  • Exchanges are subject to availability. 

  • If you are feeling ill the day of an event, or have been exposed to someone who has COVID, please do not come. Please contact Patron Services to discuss your options - 301-528-2260

TICKET DONATIONS

If you are unable to use your tickets, they may be returned for a tax-deductible donation prior to the event. Donations can be made by emailing boxoffice@blackrockcenter.org. Within 30 days of the donation, BlackRock will send a written acknowledgment of the donation in the amount of the face value of your tickets, less ticket processing fees.

CANCELLATION

If an event is cancelled due to unforeseeable/natural causes, BlackRock will make every effort to reschedule the event.

  • If a new event date is unable to be scheduled, a refund of the ticket price will be made through the box office within 30 days after the original scheduled event date.  

  • For rescheduled events - patrons who are unable to attend the rescheduled date(s) may ask to hav their account credited the price of the ticket or request a refund via email at boxoffice@blackrockcenter.org before the rescheduled event date. Requests made after the rescheduled date will not be honored.  

PLANNING YOUR VISIT
ACCESS YOUR TICKETS

BlackRock is not printing or providing printed tickets at the Box Office until further notice.

  • Following the purchase of your tickets online, you will receive your confirmation email via the email address you provided. Please review carefully, as it will provide you with important information about retrieving your ETICKET(s).

  • If you do not see your confirmation email, please check your spam and junk folders and/or contact us directly to confirm your ticket purchase was successful - boxoffice@blackrockcenter.org.

  • Patrons will not be admitted into the event without their ETICKET. 

WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBILITY

BlackRock is prepared to assist you in acquiring seats that best meet your individual needs. 

  • All main entrances, box office, restrooms, concessions, and performance spaces are accessible.

  • Accessible seating: 

    • MainStage TheaterThere are 15 wheelchair accessible spaces on the Orchestra Level in our MainStage. View the MainStage Seating Chart here. Although there is elevator access to the second floor of our building, the MainStage Theater balcony seating is only accessible by stairs. We are currently working on improving accessibility to that space for all patrons in the future.  

    • BlackBox Theater – our BlackBox is located on the main level and all seating (aside from our high-top seating options) is wheelchair accessible.

OUR SPACES + SEATING OPTIONS

  • Outdoor Stage. BlackRock does not provide traditional seating for its outdoor performances. Patrons are invited to bring their own chairs and blankets. Seating location is on a first come, first serve basis. 

  • MainStage Theater. “There is not a bad seat in the house” is what we hear often from our patrons. This traditional theater space is a stunning environment to enjoy performances, film screenings, live discussions, and we even host weddings! The MainStage seats 210 guests comfortably and this season we are excited to announce the addition of the Box Seats in our MainStage balcony, which offers a VIP experience to patrons with comfortable high seating, complimentary wine and charcuterie board, and the opportunity to have a space of your own (for up to 4 guests).  

  • BlackBox Theater: Our traditional blackbox is the perfect flex space to host events, celebrations, and enjoy cabaret style performances. Depending on the equipment needs, this space can host upwards of 250 guests. The seating and tables can be arranged to meet the needs of the event and the entire space is wheelchair accessible.  

VIRTUAL PROGRAM

In an effort to waste less and provide a contactless experience for our staff and visitors, we will provide a virtual program for all 21-22 season performances. The link to access the virtual program will be emailed to all patrons prior to the event and will also be available to access via QR codes displayed at the event, which can be scanned using your smart phone. 

FOOD + BEVERAGES
  • OUTDOOR EVENTS. Outside food is permitted for our Outdoor Stage events on our Great Lawn and we encourage you to enjoy our neighboring restaurants.  

  • INDOOR EVENTS. Outside food and beverages are not permitted for events inside our building.  

  • Until further notice, all concessions – including any eating and drinking – will remain in one of our outdoor spaces. Patrons who purchase one of our VIP boxes in the MainStage are permitted to enjoy the provided beverages and food in that space only.

 

BlackRock concessions are available for purchase 1 hour before performances start, including packaged snacks, popcorn, non-alcoholic beverages (water, juices, and soda), and alcoholic beverages (wine and beer). Cash and credit card are accepted forms of payment. We require ID for any purchases of alcohol. 

PARKING

Complimentary parking is available in BlackRock’s parking lot (north side of building). If you choose to park on the street side or in the parking lots surrounding BlackRock, parking is at your discretion.

COVID SAFETY

Patrons will be required to follow all COVID-19 safety protocols as set by BlackRock and local & state regulations; safety protocols include, but not limited to:  

  • Face masks for all patrons are highly encouraged

  • Hand sanitizing stations will be available at various locations.

 

BlackRock reserves the right to change its COVID-19 protocols as more information becomes available. Thank you in advance for your help in keeping our patrons safe. 

DAY-OF REMINDERS

Patrons will be notified via email on the day of the event of any updates to the event, including health and safety policies. Thank you for helping us keep our staff, volunteers, and visitors safe! 

  • ARRIVAL TIME.

    • Patrons are welcome to arrive 60 minutes before the start of the event to enjoy the BlackRock Bar & Concessions. 

    • Doors into the theater space (to access your seat) open 30 minutes before the start of the event. 

  • CONCESSIONS. Until further notice, all concessions – including any eating and drinking – will remain in one of our outdoor spaces.  

  • BOX SEATS. Patrons who purchase one of our VIP boxes in the MainStage are permitted to enjoy the provided beverages and food in that space only.

 

  • YOUR ETICKET.  

    • Patrons should come to the event ready with their ETICKET on their mobile device or print their ETICKET (located in their ticket purchase confirmation email) at home. 

    • Our Ushers will scan the ETICKET at the entrance into the performing space.  

    • We will require ETICKETs until further notice.  

    • *Will Call ticket pickup is not an option at this time; please arrive with your ETICKET. 

    • We recommend all members of your group arrive and enter the event together, so that your ETICKET can be scanned for the whole group at once. If a member of your group is arriving later, they should be prepared with their ETICKET (on mobile device) or print their ETICKET ahead of time.
