What are the camps’ times?

Please read carefully as each camp has different times. Performing Arts Camp and Arts Journeys Camp run from 9:00am to 3:30pm. Before Care is from 7:45am to 9:00am and After-Care is from 3:30pm to 6:30pm. Your child must be registered in Before Care or After Care in order to participate. Sports Meets the Arts Camp is located at the Maryland Soccerplex & Discovery Sports Center and runs daily from 9:00am to 4:00pm. Broadway at BlackRock runs from 4:00pm to 9:00pm.  Every child needs to be signed in and out by a parent or approved guardian every day. At this time, a health waiver and temperature will also be required at drop-off.  Dropping off a child and driving away is not permitted under any circumstances. For Before Care you may enter the building at 7:45am. For regular camp, you may drop-off beginning at 8:45am. Campers must be picked up promptly at 3:30pm unless they are enrolled in After Care. Students enrolled in After Care must be picked up promptly at 6:30pm or before. Failure to pick up your child on time will result in the charging of late fees of $25.00.

Can my siblings be split up/put together?

Please contact the Education Manager of Camps & Outreach to share your preference. BlackRock will do it’s best to accommodate siblings, however there are situations depending on staffing, group size, or activity where these requests can not be accommodated.

Can my child choose their show or role in Performing Arts Camp?

Our camps (and shows) are currently split by age and are largely ensemble based, so everyone gets a moment to shine. Casting is at the sole discretion of the counselors.

For additional questions, please contact the Education Manager of Camps & Outreach.
