BlackRock meets regularly to discuss federal, state, and local orders, guidelines, and recommendations related to reopening. Please check this page as it is updated frequently. Our current operating status is as follows:

As BlackRock continues to prioritize the health and safety of our visitors, staff, students and artists, it is highly encouraged that all visitors wear a mask.

BlackRock’s must up-to-date operating hours are listed on the footer of the website. Please call 301-528-2260 prior to arriving to double-check.
There may be events or performances that require additional safety measures. For more information, please review any communications you received regarding the class and/or event you are registered for. For all other matters, please email us to schedule a visit.
GETTING TO BLACKROCK
Driving North on I-270

Drive North toward Frederick.

Use the right lane to take exit.
15B to MD-118 South – Germantown Road. -
Drive on Germantown Road for 1 mile.

At the fourth stoplight, turn right onto Middlebrook Rd.

At the next stoplight (you’ll see Mission BBQ on the right),
turn right onto Century Boulevard. -
At the next stop sign, turn left onto Town Commons Drive.

Take the first right turn to enter BlackRock’s parking lot.
DRIVING SOUTH ON I-270

Drive South toward Germantown / Gaithersburg.

Use the right lane to take exit 15A to MD-188 South – Germantown Road.

Drive on Germantown Road for 1 mile.

At the fourth stoplight, turn right onto Middlebrook Rd.

At the next stoplight (you’ll see Mission BBQ on the right), turn right onto Century Boulevard.

At the next stop sign, turn left onto Town Commons Drive.

Take the first right turn to enter BlackRock’s parking lot.
PARKING
Complimentary parking is available in BlackRock’s parking lot (north side of the building). If you choose to park on the street side or in the parking lots surrounding BlackRock, parking is at your discretion.
ACCESSIBILITY

SECURITY AND SAFETY
The safety of BlackRock Center for the Arts’ visitors, students, volunteers, and staff is of the up-most importance. BlackRock reserves the right to refuse service to anyone who puts the safety of our visitors, students, volunteers, and/or staff at risk.
PHOTOGRAPHY AND VIDEOGRAPHY
From time to time, BlackRock will take photographs and videos on the premises. We may display some of these on our website or use them for promotional or other purposes. Your entry onto the premises constitutes your agreement that BlackRock Center for the Arts, agents, representatives, successors, and assigns (collectively “BlackRock”) have the irrevocable, royalty-free right to use, re-use, copy, publish, re-publish, in whole or in part, edit, add to, modify, and rearrange any photograph or video of you (the “Photographs) in any publication or work, in any media or format, throughout the world (collectively “Use”).
This means BlackRock shall have the right to use and deal with the Photographs in any manner it may choose without compensation to you and you hereby waive any right to inspect or approve such Use. You also agree that you do not retain any rights in the Photographs and that BlackRock shall not be obligated to Use the Photographs, nor shall it be obligated to acknowledge you if it does.
COVID-19 POLICY
BlackRock follows all COVID-19 safety protocols as set by the CDC and local & state governments. Event/class-specific guidelines will be communicated via e-mail or posted on our website prior to an event/class start. BlackRock Center for the Arts reserves the right to refuse service to anyone who puts the health & safety of our visitors, students, volunteers, and/or staff at risk.
OUTDOOR EVENTS
BlackRock Center for the Arts does not provide traditional seating for its outdoor summer series. Patrons are invited to bring their own chairs and blankets – find a space 6’ from another group and make yourself at home! The seating location is on a first-come, first-serve basis. All information is provided on our Events webpage.
Please note: BlackRock reserves the right to ask those with larger chairs to change seating locations to allow a comfortable viewing experience for all patrons.
Patrons will be required to follow all COVID-19 safety protocols as set by BlackRock and local & state regulations. Hand sanitizing stations will be available at various locations on the outdoor lawn. BlackRock reserves the right to change its COVID-19 protocols as more information becomes available. Thank you in advance for your help in keeping our patrons safe.
RESTROOMS
Indoor public restrooms will be made available to patrons. Anyone under the age of 13 is required to be accompanied by an adult.
