You're invited to our birthday party - Scrap Happy is turning 1 year old!

Snack, craft, and connect! Meet local artists who share a passion for the creative reuse movement. Feel free to bring an art piece made with Scrap Happy materials to showcase how our supplies have been re-loved. Discover unique, affordable art supplies and support a thriving community of creative individuals. During the party, Scrap Happy will be open for you to shop for your next project.

Light snacks and refreshments will be provided.

We have new store hours! Scrap Happy is open every Friday from 3 - 6 PM and Saturday from 12 - 4 PM.

UPDATE: We will resume accepting donations on October 19, 2025. Donations will be accepted every Sunday from 9 - 2 PM and every Tuesday from 12 - 6 PM. If you have any questions, reach out to us at 301-528-2260!

WHY SCRAP HAPPY?

It’s not just a thrift shop - it’s a movement. We collect gently used fabric, yarn, books, art supplies, and much more, saving items from the landfill and giving them new life in the hands of creatives like you. Whether you're an artist, teacher, parent, or passionate crafter, Scrap Happy is your space to create affordably, sustainably, and in community. Have extra supplies to spare? Donations are being accepted starting October 19, on Sundays from 9 - 2 PM and Tuesdays from 12 - 6 PM.

Scrap Happy Thrift is a Creative ReUse Center, which is composed of three parts:
