Keelyn Mitchell | Artistic Director
Keelyn Mitchell is the primary steward of BlackRock’s artistic vision and helps shape the strategic program direction of season performances and programming initiatives. Keelyn joined BlackRock from serving as the Franchise Coordinator of songs for seeds in New York City, named "Best Kids' Music Class” by New York Magazine. During her time in New York City, Keelyn also served as the Senior House Manager for the off-Broadway production of Pip’s Island. Keelyn’s career spans the world of performing and visual arts as a music director, house and stage manager, musical theatre vocal coach, and arts educator.
In addition to her role with BlackRock, Keelyn is the owner of Oxley Photography LLC, specializing in theatre and headshot photography and videography. Keelyn has a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Stetson University, with a focus in K-12 instrumental (oboe; English horn) and vocal pedagogy.
