Jordan Hersh

Jordan (they/them) is the Technical Director at BlackRock Center for the Arts. They have worked in live entertainment since 2015. As Technical Director, they are responsible for fulfilling all lighting, sound, and A/V needs for all internal events and rentals. They have experience in lighting, sound, stage management, production management, and more.

When not at BlackRock, they design lighting for various local venues. Recent lighting design credits include Dance Nation (Silver Spring Stage), Gentlemen’s Guide to Love and Murder (Victorian Lyric Opera Company), Nutcracker (Rockville Civic Ballet), and Rocky Horror Picture Show (Flying V). Jordan studied Theater and Environmental Studies at University of California Santa Cruz.
