Strings Workshop with Jocelyn Pettit & Ellen Gira

Now’s your chance! Join us for an introduction to Scottish and Irish fiddle styles, open to intermediate/advanced players. All stringed instruments welcome!

We will learn a tune or two by ear, exploring what defines these styles of playing, as well as their accompaniment. Sheet music will be provided at the conclusion of the workshop as a memory aid. Together, we will create a short arrangement of the tune(s) we play together.

This workshop, open to students ages 13 and up, is one of two workshops being presented by Jocelyn Pettit and Ellen Gira.
