About the Event
GABRIELLE ZWI & KEN AVIS
5 PM - Local Artist Highlight!
Gabrielle Zwi is a vocalist and ukulele player who has performed throughout the region over the last several years. This summer, she debuts her Bossa Nova and Jazz repertoire after studying with instructors in Brazil and at Columbia University. Ken Avis is a vocalist and guitarist who performs with world-jazz quartet Veronneau. The band have had 3 US Top 10 CD's in the Jazz and World music categories and have won 7 WAMMIE Awards for Best Jazz Group, Recordings and Vocals.
THE FUNKTRONICS
6 PM - 8 PM
The Funktronics bring a fresh interpretation of classic grooves and recent jams, all done in a tasteful fashion yet guaranteed to please the brain as well as the booty (to paraphrase Michael League).
ABOUT THE EVENT
LIVE @ The Rock is a FREE community outdoor event from 5 PM – 8 PM, every Friday night, from July 9 – August 27, 2021. Audiences are encouraged to bring their own lawn chair and/or blanket, purchase dinner from one of our many local restaurants, and enjoy various beverages and treats that are offered at the BlackRock bar and concessions.
This series is focused on highlighting local artists and offering a safe, enjoyable, and entertaining space for the community to come together, as we all get #Back2BlackRock.
