Even before becoming CEO in 2019, Lynn was a long-time supporter of BlackRock as a donor, patron, and organizing committee member for BlackRock’s largest annual fundraising effort, the Gala for the Arts. Her commitment and passion for BlackRock’s mission and belief that the arts connect us all is evident through her hands-on approach to leadership. She oversees BlackRock’s operations, including its employees, volunteers, annual operating budget, and guides BlackRock’s programming, fundraising, and administration.

In March 2020, Lynn saw the need for BlackRock to step forward and give back to people in need who were not being served—while also ensuring BlackRock’s ability to weather the COVID-19 pandemic and loss of revenue from performances and educational programming. Originally the site of award-winning art exhibitions, Lynn led the temporary transformation of BlackRock’s gallery space into a hub for consolidating and repackaging donated food and other essential items for distribution to local children, families and seniors impacted by COVID-19. The Upcounty Consolidation Hub for Community Needs at BlackRock currently serves more than 600 families every week.

Lynn previously served as Chief Operating Officer of Interfaith Works and Deputy Director of Community Ministries of Rockville. Prior to joining the nonprofit sector, Lynn worked as an attorney, lobbyist, and government contracts consultant. Her commitment to Montgomery County is reflected in her volunteerism with numerous organizations that support racial equity and access to education and community involvement. She currently serves on the board of directors of Leadership Montgomery. Lynn received her JD from Syracuse University College of Law and Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Science and English, magna cum laude, from State University of New York College at Brockport.
