Heart to Art: Scrap Happy's Workshops

Our Scrap Happy Thrift store has an exciting new community opportunity. Heart to Art is an art discipline that combines arts education with gently pre-used art supplies. You can now take classes and workshops that turn the heart - community engagement, environmental protection, and materials rehoming - into art that can live on.

ABOUT US

For the last 22 years, BlackRock has provided access to the arts through exceptional classes, performances, exhibits, and community and family events.

And the last year exposed just how much we truly need community, connection, and creativity in order to survive and thrive.

For this reason, BlackRock has evolved beyond just a cultural arts center into a central resource for families in and around Upcounty Montgomery County Maryland.

We are committed to providing opportunities for arts engagement particularly for youth from low-income households in our community. To learn more about our outreach programs, click here.

BlackRock is here for you, our community, and beyond.
