Our major focus for BlackRock’s 16th annual Spring gala is the inclusion of the Arts (A) in the widely successful STEM curriculum so that we as a community can go “Full STEAM Ahead” into the future of education.

We recognize the importance of being arts-literate in the modern economy so we intend to include them in any well-rounded curriculum creating STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) rather than merely STEM. It’s a 21st century approach with arts paving the way to the excitement of learning.

So join us at our 16th Annual Gala, on May 17, as we charge FULL STEAM AHEAD in a celebration of Arts Education as a core component of modern education.

BlackRock emerged as a cultural haven in Montgomery County and one of the cornerstones of cultural life in the DC metropolitan area. By reaching out to its community through a well-orchestrated annual Gala, BlackRock continues to offer moderately priced and free live performances, exhibits in BlackRock’s highly lauded Kay Gallery, and educational programs for both children and adults. BlackRock’s educational programs are zealous and robustly subscribed and provide a solid financial foundation for our venue. Contributions from the community, both big and small, continue to support BlackRock’s efforts to bring music and arts to the community, the most notable of these efforts being the Annual Gala.

We are asking you to mark your calendar now for this year’s Gala - May 17, 2019 - where we will share BlackRock’s vision and vibrant plans for the years ahead. Your leadership is critical to our future so we ask you to become a BlackRock Gala Sponsor.

We expect over 200 guests at this festive event including members of the state legislature, Montgomery County Council, business leaders and arts patrons.  Our goal is to raise $150,000 to support BlackRock’s continued expansion and growth as an arts Mecca and quite frankly to talk art with those who can make a difference.

With your sponsorship, you may enjoy a table at the Gala for up to ten individuals as well as many opportunities to showcase your community mission.  Please see the accompanying Sponsor Benefits page for sponsorship levels, prices, and benefits.

We sincerely thank you for your consideration of supporting BlackRock's fantastic 16th Annual Spring Gala. We look forward to your support and hope to see you there!
