Camps at BlackRock are NUT FREE. Please do not pack nuts or nut products in your camper’s lunch, including nut butters, Nutella, fruit, and nut bars, etc. Campers will not be allowed to share food with other campers or staff.
Please pack extra bug spray, wipes or wrist bands that are clearly labeled with the campers first and last name. Camp staff may only reapply bug spray if parent has signed and submitted the appropriate form.

There will be a designated area in our parking lot for drop-off. Parents must sign in/out their camper and complete the COVID health attestation form every day. Sign-in tables will be located in main lobby area.
All of our summer camp options (Youth Art Academy, Sports Meets the Arts, and Counselor in Training) offer before, after, and bundled care. Parents will need to enroll in their preferred care option for each week and each camper.

To reduce risk of covid exposure, we are limiting our group sizes to eight campers per counselor. In total, we are accepting 48 campers and four Counselors in Training. Register today and secure your spot!
BlackRock provides a handbook of all of our Camp Policies. Parents/Guardians will receive a copy of the handbook and be required to acknowledge and sign in order to process the registration.
To reduce the spread of germs, each camper will be given their own supplies for each activity. Campers should not share their supplies with other campers or staff. If a supply runs out, is broken or lost, please inform our Camp Director so we can replace it.
JOBS AT CAMP
Although in limited capacity, BlackRock is bringing back our Counselor in Training Program. This is an unpaid camp counselor position for aspiring teachers, artists, creatives ages 14-17. The Youth Art Academy is designed to teach campers the fundamentals across all artistic discplines while engaging with peers through a variety of creative activities.
New this year, camper lunches will NOT be refrigerated. Please pack a non-perishable lunch. The use of an insulated lunch bag or freezer pack is recommended.
No medication can or will be administered in camp by any BlackRock Staff members. However, if your camper requires over the counter or prescribed medication to self-administer, an Authorization for Medication Form is required and to be completed by your camper’s doctor.
BlackRock provides a health supervisor that provides guidance on health-related issues and is on-call throughout the camp day.
BlackRock will leverage its outdoor stage, courtyard, and reserved areas in the parking lot for our summer camp groups. We will also use large tents to reduce sun and heat exposure.
Parents are expected to pick up campers promptly at the close of the camp. An overtime fee of $10 per camper for each fifteen minutes (or portion of fifteen minutes) is assessed. only the individual(s) designated at the time of registration as having permission, can pick up your camper.
When you register for a camp at BlackRock, you can trust that your camper will have a safe, fun, and educational experience. From our veteran Camp Director to our exceptional Teaching Artists to our robust artistic programming to our varied activities, your camper will have a high-quality camp experience.
Families may choose to withdraw from a camp at BlackRock at any time. If the withdrawal request is made two weeks or more before the start of their camp, families will receive a 50% refund. No refunds will be given within two weeks of a camp start date or after a camp has started. The Counselor in Training Program is a non-refundable camp.
Please pack extra sunscreen lotion or spray that are clearly labeled with the campers first and last name. Camp staff may only reapply sunscreen if parent has signed and submitted the appropriate form.
Each camper will receive one complimentary camp T-shirt. Campers are not required to wear it every day, but the Camp Director may ask that the shirt be worn for showcases, shows, and/or the last day of a camp session.
It is one of the few words that started with “U”. But in true BlackRock form, your camper should expect new and exciting art forms. There is a weekly theme, and campers are given training in one or more art medium. But they will also be free to create their own interpretation of that theme using the skills they’ve gained.
VIDEO & MEDIA POLICY
We reserve the right to use photographs and video taken in class and/or their work for the purpose of instruction, and/or advertising and promotion of our programs, including on social media. Participants will not receive compensation of any kind for use of these images. If you do not agree you must notify the Education Manager in writing prior to registration.
Since your camper will be participating in physical activity, it is important for campers to bring water bottles every day to camp to stay well hydrated, especially during warm weather. Bottles should be labeled with the camper's full name.

BlackRock is a safe, welcoming, inclusive place for all. We treat ourselves and each other with respect and kindness. Unwelcoming, teasing, inappropriate use of language, materials, or body parts will not be tolerated and may result in a camper being dismissed without refund.
