Joe Yablonsky teaches digital and film photography classes. His teaching philosophy is to give every student a strong foundation of the technical and creative considerations that must be addressed prior to pressing the shutter release button. He encourages every student to bring their own personality and individuality into the process and to obtain photographs that are uniquely their own. Joe studied mechanical engineering at Penn State and has built communications spacecraft at Lockheed Martin and hardware for the Hubble Space Telescope servicing missions at NASA. He now specializes in gelatin silver photographs of public sculpture and architecture that have been shown in numerous solo exhibitions and are collected internationally. All photos are hand printed on fiber paper using a traditional darkroom and are selenium toned to increase their archival permanence. His photographs can be seen at www.joeyablonsky.com.
