Shop at Clarksburg Outlets for Tax Free Week and enjoy the arts!  BlackRock Center for the Arts is coming to the Outlets with free performances and a satellite art exhibit featuring artwork by local youth. 

BlackRock Center for the Arts is excited to connect 30,000+ shoppers with incredible local performing artists, recently featured on BlackRock’s stage as part of the LIVE @ The Rock summer performance series. Additionally, audiences catch a sneak peak of what’s to come in the 21-22 season!  
Shoppers will enjoy BlackRock student artwork displays in windows galleries featuring colorful abstract paintings created by participants in the Youth Art Academy summer program to highlight the ongoing and upcoming classes, camps and gallery exhibits offered by the dynamic nonprofit cultural arts center. 

This is an amazing opportunity to promote your work, support BlackRock, and make shopping with the crowds more artistic – an enjoyable experience.   
  • This is an invitation-only opportunity.
  • All prospective artists, teaching artists, and volunteers must submit the application below no later than Monday, July 26 @ 6:00 PM
  • Selected participants will be contacted by Wednesday, July 28, with an offer letter, which will need to be signed upon participant acceptance. A finalized event schedule will be sent to participants by Friday, July 30
  • Volunteers to pass out materials, and provide support to artists are also welcome to apply.

  • Selected artists will be scheduled [pending the artist's availability] on Sunday, August 8 and/or Saturday, August 14 for an allotted 2-hour time slot. This would occur within the 12 PM - 6 PM time frame on either of the two dates listed and take place in one of the reserved locations (BlackRock has an indoor space and an outdoor space for the two dates).
  • Compensation is not provided for participation in this event.
  • Clarksburg Premium Outlets anticipates between 30,000 - 42,000 visitors per day.
  • Participants are expected to provide the specific equipment that is required for their performance/activity.
    • i.e. - musicians are expected to bring their own instrument, amp, cables, microphone, and mic stand. Clarksburg will provide power.
  • Clarksburg Premium Outlets will provide the following to participants:
    • Access to power.
    • (1) 6-ft table (for artwork display; musician merchandise; etc)​; participants can dress the table however they like, as long as no permanent defacing is done. 
    • (2) Chairs.
    • (1) 10x10 tent.
    • (1) 22x28 hanging frame for the artist to display a graphic or marketing graphic (artist is responsible for printing this on foamcore, cardboard, or poster paper).
    • Marketing of artist in the Clarksburg Premium Outlets' newsletter (60,000 people), website, and social media page(s).
    • Reserved parking spaces, so access to the artists' locations is easy.
    • Green Room space for participants to rest and cool off in.
