GERMANTOWN, Md. (April 15, 2020) – BlackRock Center for the Arts will host Earth Day Open Mic, a virtual event from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, April 22. In this time of social distancing and working remotely, many of us are taking the time to go outside and reconnect with the outdoors. BlackRock is looking for musicians, spoken word artists, and poets who have been inspired by nature and want to express their creativity and connect with other storytellers from their home “stage.”

If you find yourself spending more time in nature, tell us how it has inspired you in BlackRock’s Earth Day Open Mic. Performance slots are five minutes each and open to anyone 16+. Join us on Zoom on April 22 to celebrate Earth Day and the arts! To sign up by April 20, visit
