BlackRock is closed on most Federal Holidays and the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day each year. For timely updates, please follow our Facebook page, or check the home page on our website.
The front desk is open for business from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday and can field class registration and ticket purchase requests for performances. The box office, located next to the front desk, opens one hour prior to performances. Buy tickets or register for classes online or by phone at 301-528-2260.
The galleries are open Monday through Friday from 10am to 5pm and Saturday from noon to 5pm, when exhibitions are on view (please check exhibit dates). The galleries are often open during evening and weekend hours (closing times vary) when classes and performances are being held at the center. Galleries are generally closed on Sunday. Please join us for free monthly Gallery Opening Receptions (check Gallery Events page) where you can meet the artists and learn about their work. Please call 301-528-2260 to confirm Gallery Hours for specific dates before you visit.

BlackRock Center for the Arts is conveniently located in the Germantown Town Center, in the heart of Germantown, next to the Montgomery County Public Library, near the intersection of Middlebrook Rd. and Route 118 (Germantown Rd.). Ample free parking is available behind the building.
From 270, take exit 15 toward Germantown on Germantown Road. Take a right on Crystal Rock Terrace, then left on Century Blvd. Go four blocks and BlackRock will be on your right. Turn right on Town Commons Drive and park in the lot behind our building.
Ride Metrorail to Shady Grove Station (Red Line) and transfer to Ride On Bus Route 100 (15-minute Express Bus Service from Metro Shady Grove Station to the Germantown Transit Center [GTC] on Aircraft Drive). From GTC, walk four blocks following Century Boulevard to our front door, or transfer to Ride On Bus Route 97 which stops in front of BlackRock.
