This legendary quintet challenges the boundaries of bluegrass while they charm audiences with their low-key, witty patter. Playing together for four decades and earning a national reputation, The Scene set a new standard that has greatly expanded the bluegrass audience. The Montgomery County-based group is Ben Eldridge on banjo, Dudley Connell on guitar/vocals, Fred Travers on dobro, Ronnie Simpkins on bass and Lou Reid on mandolin/vocals.
