Back by popular demand – it’s Comedy Night on Valentine’s Day! Treat your sweetheart to a laugh-filled night of the unexpected—and the hilarious—as DC’s District Comedy brings their urban edginess to the ‘burbs. You’re invited to come and enjoy some local humor—and some local beer and wine—in the evening’s special Café club seating.
This event will take place in our Studio Theatre and will have reserved seating.
Host: Jesse Rivas
My name is Jesse Rivas. I’m a former professional wrestler turned stand up comedian. I started doing stand up comedy 3 years ago and have since been featured in 7 local indi movies and 1 documentary. I co-founded .comEDY with Joey Lofaro, which is a company that produces comedy shows in the DC-Metro area. I also host a weekly award winning open mic at Union Jacks in Bethesda.
Feature: Matt Dundas
Matt Dundas is a Washington, D.C.-based stand-up comic, musician and actor with a baby and an ax to grind (not necessarily in that order). He has performed at comedy clubs across the country and in Europe, and has made multiple award-winning comedy videos. Matt is a co-founder of Grassroots Comedy DC.
Headliner: Matty Litwack
Matty is a weird young comic from Washington, DC. He was once a physics PhD student, but dropped out when he realized it was super boring. Matty’s writing has been featured in the Washington Post, New Zealand Herald, and Scientific American. He has also performed at comedy festivals, such as the Limestone Festival, Bentzen Ball, and SF Sketchfest. Matty was also a finalist in the 2015 Boston Comedy Festival.
