The Boxcar Lilies have quickly made a name for themselves with their signature mix of folk, country, and bluegrass-tinged Americana music featuring innovative harmonies and top-notch songwriting. Accompanying themselves on guitar, clawhammer banjo, ukulele, electric bass, and washboard, they have brought their uniquely warm sound and energetic stage presence to venues up and down the Eastern seaboard, opening for legendary performers like Bill Staines and The Seldom Scene.
Based in Western Massachusetts, The Boxcar Lilies are Jenny Goodspeed, Stephanie Marshall, and Katie Clarke—three accomplished singer-songwriters who met through a local musicians’ cooperative and discovered a shared passion for three-part harmony. The group won the “Most Wanted” award in the popular Falcon Ridge Folk Festival’s Emerging Artist Showcase last year. Their recent studio album, Sugar Shack, debuted on the Folk DJ Charts at #2 and was highlighted by both CMJ.com and eMusic.com in their roundups of exciting new releases.
Opening for the Boxcar Lilies will be Beggar’s Ride. This band will touch your heart and mind with their haunting harmonies and sensitive songwriting. Their sound may remind you of the Indigo Girls or the introspective side of Crosby Stills & Nash. Theyve got the talent to have a long ride indeed, through the folk world and beyond.

“Beggar’s Ride’s self-titled debut proves that the duo belongs among some of the best female-led vocally-driven folk groups around.

“…an album of gorgeous vocal harmony and Maguires flawless guitar work…the album has beauty in spades, its a quiet, moody affair…” – Jon Patton, Driftwood Magazine
