WINTER DANCE CLASSES

West African Dance Workshop with Soul In Motion Players, Inc.

The Soul in Motion Players, Inc. African Dance/Drum Workshop is a combination instructor lead class. The dance class is taught by a company member and the drum instruction is led by a company musician during class. Dance students will not only explore a variety of African dance styles each week, but enjoy live drumming accompaniment with every class! It’s suggested that dance students wear a traditional lapa for the class. A lapa is a large piece of African fabric that is wrapped around the waist of the dancer.
