BlackRock Center for the Arts exists to inspire the community to explore, experience, engage and excite through the arts. In its active pursuit to make the arts central to the lives of local residents, BRCA is committed to providing quality programs that develop lifelong participants in the arts. BlackRock Center for the Arts builds community through and for the arts.

Its community and program goals are to:

• develop audiences’ understanding and commitment to the arts through engaging
  performances insights, workshops and associated educational opportunities
• present artists of the highest quality who might not otherwise have the opportunity
  to perform in this region;
• provide a focal point for the civic life of Germantown and the upcounty area by
  creating a sense of place and community pride;
• provide the area’s residents a broad spectrum of professional arts education programs that encourage involvement by a very wide representation of residents;
• reduce barriers of cost and accessibility to encourage involvement with performances, exhibitions and education programs.
