Call to Artists 2011

The 2011 Call to Artists is open to all artists residing in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC over the age of 18 for original artwork only. This call will cover exhibits in the gallery from October 2011 through August 2012. An exhibit may include on applicant or a combination of applicants, based on the judgement of jurors.  The jury panel is comprised of Kathleen Moran, Lenny Campello, and Jack Rasmussen.

How to Apply
1. Complete the entry form.

2. Enclose the entry fee of $35 in the form of a check or money order payable to BlackRock Center for the Arts (no cash or credit cards accepted).

3. Create a CD with 5 images .Write your name, address and telephone number directly on the CD. Burn the CD for playing on a PC in a “JPEG” format at 72 dpi, approximately 1200 X 1800 pixels. Images should be labeled with the first word of the title, e. g., images of artwork titled “Promises” should be labeled promises.jpeg .Only CD entries will be accepted (no email entries accepted).

4. Create a bio/resume and price list that includes the name, medium, and size of each entry in the same order as the images appearing on the CD. Group applications must include a statement on how the works are selected by the group to ensure quality of works submitted.

5. Mail or deliver packet by October 30, 2010.
