Volunteer “Coffee and Dessert”

On Monday evening, September 19th, BlackRock hosted a “Coffee and Dessert” meeting and orientation for volunteers.  Thirty volunteers came out to the event!  Corner Bakery donated coffee and a tray of desserts and everyone had fun catching up after the long summer.  In preparation for the coming performance season there was a review of the volunteer handbook and ushering duties in the Main Stage Theater.  Anne Burton, the Gallery Director gave a presentation on upcoming events and volunteer needs in the gallery.

BlackRock has need for gallery volunteers to sit in the Kay Gallery for two to three- hour shifts, from 10am-5pm, Monday through Saturday. Bring your laptop or a book and provide a greeting and info to our patrons and security for our exhibits.  We are also looking for a volunteer to be in the gallery before shows and during intermission.

BlackRock is looking for weekday lunchtime volunteers to sit at the front desk and answer the phones from noon until 2pm.

If you would like to help with performances, we are always looking for volunteers to help serve as ushers, front desk attendants, concessions staff and more.
